Change that to...back on a NEW track

So, ONEDASH is now the continuation of RLF- real live fire- youth church Sunday school. My wife and I teach the yutes each Sunday but we have limited time and think it best to use this site for the continued discussion of the weeks lesson. So to those from the 'Cuse and Tuesday night Bible Study- I pray you continue to contribute read and enjoy, and to those from the youth church this is for you! Please make sure when you respond that you use the mind the good Lord gave you, that means no one word answers and really put some thought into it. So I will be posting the lesson sometime between Saturday night and Tuesday night. I am real busy so that the best I can do. Thats that with that- jose

Lets get back on track...

I have started meeting with a friend who has recently become a Christian and we are getting together weekly to go through a new believers booklet. I am glad to go through it so as to learn again and cement foundational principles which I should already know cold. Going through the first chapter I have realized again how little I have retained over the years. I am so glad for this opportunity to disciple someone and to learn again myself. So, him and I met last week and hit some golf balls at the indoor driving range and also shot the breeze about whatever came up. We were talking and came to conclusion how important the battle of the mind is. Everything is either won or lost in the mind. The Bible speaks about this over and over again, especially in the NT and was wondering what everyone else thought about the MIND?

one dash

The blog is call one dash. Why that? We’ll I heard someone talking about how we each only have one life and we need to do all we can to make it worth while and do all we can for the Lord. This person spoke about how when you die on your gravestone is your date of birth and date of death. In between is the important part, the DASH. Its that dash which is represented for your life. So the question is what are you doing with your DASH!

It’s so important to make it your goal to always pursue things of God and go towards what he has for you. Its easy to get distracted but you only have one DASH!

The first one

This is my first blog ever, I bet everyone says that. But it really is. I dont usually do these types of things online, I hate facebook and myspace even though my wife has one. I wanted to start this because of many different reasons. One is because I have missed the fellowship from a previous Bible study I was participated in Syracuse. Another reason is that I am involved with the young people at church and I want them to be able to dicuss things and topics during the week, not just among themselves, but with others who I have crossed paths with. There are other reasons also but I cant think of them right now. So let us begin. Just a quick note my grammer and spelling are both way below par, that means bad, so grace and understanding is needed. Thats that for now. I am not sure what I am going to do for topics and talking points, however life brings its own topics. When I was in high school my very good friend Andrew Honess spoke these words to me. I had asked how he can talk to a girl for such a long period of time in one sitting. His words were that life brings up conversation. Now that I am married and on my way to being old I have met this truth into the wee hours of the morning many a time. Thus here we are at the end of the begining. As they say let the blogging begin.
